Thanks From A Sister Of A Wounded Soldier

Rain was falling on the Times Square military recruiting center today…

… on us and on a family that stopped to thank us.

This young woman’s brother was horribly injured in Iraq and is struggling to recover. “No one is paying attention to the wars any more. People are still dying in Iraq and Afghanistan but it isn’t in the news.”

The Cost Of War Only Goes Up, In Lives Lost

Granny troops stand abreast of the Recruitment Center gangway today. Nice breeze, friendly clouds on a hot day. Retruthment is our way. We have revised numbers of fatalities to report.

Grannies in the lineup entreated this young man to at least read the facts before signing anything.

As he left the center, the man engaged with us about the facts. A Times Square security guard did too.
