Get J-ROTC Out Of Our Schools:
This year NYC taxpayers will shell out about $2.4 million for the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (J-ROTC) programs at selected NYC high schools. (See the list below.) Yes 2.4 million of the NYC education budget has been set aside for teaching war.
Call YOUR City Council Member and ask that the appropriation for JROTC in the Department of Education budget be removed. Find the phone number and email address of your Council Member here.
